Delete a Mobile ID user

User with status Invitation sent

When you delete a user with status Invitation sent, their invitation will be withdrawn, i.e. invalidated.

To delete the user:

  1. Log in to the admin web application Mobile ID Manager.
  2. In the Users section, click Delete icon at the right of the user.
  3. In the dialog click Delete User & Withdraw Invitation.

What happens next?

The user's invitation will be invalidated immediately, so they can no longer activate the app. The user will be removed from the list.

User with status Active

When you delete a user with status Active, you revoke the permissions from their app, so it no longer works. If the user has a physical ID card as well, this card will not be affected.

To delete the user:

  1. Log in to the admin web application Mobile ID Manager.
  2. In the Users section, click Delete icon at the right of the user.
  3. In the dialog click Delete User & Revoke Permissions.

What happens next?

  • If permissions can be revoked immediately,
    the user will be removed from the list.
  • If permissions cannot be revoked immediately (e.g. phone is offline)
    the app will continue to work for up to 24 hours. Until then, the user will be displayed with status Deletion pending.

In urgent cases, we highly recommend you also delete the user from your access control system. This will block the user immediately, regardless of when permissions can be revoked from the app.
