Delete a Mobile ID user

When you delete a user, they can no longer use the Mobile ID app. The specific effect of the deletion depends on the status the user last had.

To delete the user:

  1. Log in to your admin account in Mobile ID Manager.
  2. If you have multiple projects, make sure the desired one is open.

    Click the arrow next to the project name at the top.

  3. In the Users section, click Dots vertical icon > Delete at the right of the user and confirm.

What happens next?

Status Effect
Invitation sent The user's invitation is invalidated immediately, so they can no longer activate the app. The user is immediately removed from the list.
Active/Resend invitation pending The user is displayed with status Deletion pending until permissions are revoked from their currently active app. This usually takes up to 15 minutes or, if the phone is offline, up to 24 hours.

Once permissions are revoked, the user is removed from the list. Both the admin marked as official contact and the user are notified via e-mail.

In urgent cases, we highly recommend you also delete the user from your access control system. This will block the user immediately, regardless of when permissions can be revoked from the app

Invitation expired/Offline/Reset The user is immediately removed from the list. No additional steps necessary.
