Check which frequencies a reader supports

If you're unsure about the frequencies your reader supports, you can find out using BALTECH ID-engine Explorer.

To check for a reader's supported frequencies:

1. Connect the reader to your computer.

   I have an Ethernet reader.

   To work with BALTECH tools, an Ethernet reader must be unconfigured, or required permissions must be granted in PKI Authentication and Encryption settings.

2. Open the latest version of BALTECH ID-engine Explorer.
   Download it here as part of BALTECH ToolSuite.

3. Check the RFID Interfaces info box:

Label	Meaning
13.56 MHz/NFC	All cards using the 13.56 MHz frequency except LEGIC cards
125 kHz	All cards using the 125 kHz frequency
LEGIC	LEGIC cards
Bluetooth	Bluetooth Low Energy 4.2
