Overview of update workflows

There are various methods to deploy an update, depending on what you want to update and what firmware your readers currently run on. Below, we've summarized best- practice workflows for different scenarios.

A note on custom firmware

Suggestions below that apply to our standard firmware 1100 v2.00 or above also apply to custom firmware originally created as of November 2021.

Configuration update

All readers have firmware 1100 v2.00 or above

  1. Create a new version of your configuration with the required changes.
  2. In Administrative Information, disable Support Legacy Firmware Versions.
  3. Release and export the new version.
  4. Deploy it using one of the following methods:
