Manually package configuration and firmware

To roll out a specific firmware version together with the configuration, we recommend you package them.

This is the legacy procedure

The manual procedure described below is a workaround for legacy firmware versions (typically 1100 below v2.00). Current firmware versions can be packaged in the administrative information of the configuration.

To manually create the package:

1. Release and export your configuration.
2. Create a ZIP file containing the configuration in BEC format and the firmware.
3. We recommend you rename the file extension to BF2PKG.
   Then you can just double-click it, e.g. in Windows Explorer or an e-mail client, and it will open right in BALTECH Uploader.

You can deploy the package using Wired Upload in BALTECH Uploader.
